as we wrap up the season here in the western suburbs of chicago, my heart is overflowing with gratitude. at rooted outdoor living, every landscape design and construction project reminds me why i chose this path—working with natural materials, honoring nature, and creating outdoor spaces that feel authentic and restorative. from naperville and aurora to plainfield, batavia, geneva, wheaton, downers grove, and lisle, it’s been an incredible year shaping spaces where families can breathe, gather, and feel grounded.
