spring reset: kicking off another landscape design season in the western suburbs
today marks day one with a limited crew, and even though the rest of the team won’t be back for another week, it already feels like the season has officially begun. there’s something about this first day back that never changes—the excitement, the fresh energy, and honestly, just the simple joy of seeing familiar faces again after a long winter break. these guys work incredibly hard all season long, so that downtime is well deserved. still, having everyone slowly trickle back in brings a sense of rhythm and purpose that i always look forward to this time of year.
we’re starting things off in a way that feels right—getting the shop back in order and setting ourselves up for the busy months ahead. jesse and ryan have already been putting in the work, and over the next couple of days we’ll continue organizing, cleaning, and resetting our space. it’s not glamorous, but it’s necessary. a good spring cleanup around the shop makes everything run smoother once we’re deep into landscape construction, hardscape installation, and outdoor living projects across naperville, aurora, plainfield, batavia, geneva, glen ellyn, wheaton, downers grove, and lisle.
this time of year always feels like a fresh start, not just for the landscapes we design and build, but for us as a team. we begin again with new ideas, renewed energy, and a shared commitment to creating thoughtful, functional outdoor spaces. whether it’s landscape design, sustainable landscaping, patios, walkways, or full outdoor living environments, it all starts here—with preparation, intention, and a clean slate.
as we look ahead to the season, i can already feel that sense of anticipation building. soon the full crew will be back, the schedule will fill, and we’ll be out in the western suburbs of chicago transforming spaces and bringing new life to the outdoors. but for now, it’s day one. a little quieter, a little slower, and exactly what we need to begin again.
