stone, scent, and surprise: designing a one-of-a-kind landscape
i couldn’t be more excited to share a sneak peek into one of my favorite upcoming projects — a truly unique landscape design that we’ll be building right here in the western suburbs of chicago. i’ve had the pleasure of working with incredible clients throughout naperville, plainfield, batavia, geneva, wheaton, downers grove, lisle, and beyond, and every so often a project comes along that really speaks to the heart of why i love what i do.
this particular design is filled with creative elements that bring both beauty and personality to the space. we’re installing a peaceful hammock area for laid-back afternoons, a fragrance garden packed with blooms that engage the senses, and even a few charming bird houses to invite nature in. we’re also using large steppers and outcropping stone to add depth, structure, and a natural flow through the yard — all while keeping it organic and welcoming.
what really excites me is how personal this design feels. i love when clients come to me with bold ideas or a vision that’s totally outside the box. it pushes me to get creative and find ways to blend plantings, hardscape, and unique features into something that feels like them. to me, landscape design isn’t about following trends — it’s about capturing a feeling and creating a space where people can relax, connect, and enjoy the outdoors in their own way.
if you’re in naperville, wheaton, geneva, or anywhere in the western suburbs, and you’ve been dreaming about transforming your yard into something more meaningful, i’d love to hear your ideas. projects like this remind me why i started this business in the first place — to help people turn wild outdoor dreams into a beautiful reality. and i truly can’t wait to share more as this one comes to life.
