why being a woman-owned landscape design and construction company matters to me — and to my clients
as a woman-owned landscape design and construction company serving naperville, plainfield, batavia, geneva, wheaton, downers grove, lisle, and the western suburbs of chicago, i’m often asked what it means to be a woman in this industry. the truth is, it means a lot — not just to me, but to the clients who choose to work with us.
when i started this business, i wanted to do more than build patios, walkways, and retaining walls. i wanted to create outdoor spaces that felt personal, functional, and beautiful — spaces that truly reflect the people living in them. being a woman in this field gives me a unique perspective. i approach each project with attention to detail, creativity, and a strong focus on how my clients will actually use their space day to day.
i know that good communication matters just as much as good construction. that’s why i make it a priority to listen closely, explain the process clearly, and stay involved throughout the entire project. whether we’re building a custom fire pit in naperville or designing a low-maintenance garden in wheaton, i want my clients to feel confident, heard, and taken care of.
owning and running this business hasn’t always been easy, but it’s been incredibly rewarding. over the years, i’ve built strong relationships with homeowners across the western suburbs — people who value quality work, thoughtful design, and a collaborative approach. i’m proud to be part of a growing group of women making a difference in trades and construction, and i’m even prouder of the trust my clients place in us.
if you're looking for a team that brings skill, creativity, and care to every project — and one that just happens to be woman-owned — i’d love to talk about how we can bring your landscape vision to life.
