the details that make a landscape come together

we’re finishing up a really big pool surround project today, and i have to say, it’s looking so beautiful. this was a big one, with a lot of details to get right, and our crew really pulled together to make it all come together. there’s something so satisfying about reaching the end of a project and seeing all of the different pieces finally feel like they belong together.

with a project this size, so much of the work happens in the details that you might not notice at first glance. we spent a lot of time making sure all the grades were right and that the pool decking would properly shed water. getting those details right is such an important part of good landscape construction. it’s not just about making a space look beautiful—it needs to function well, too, especially around a pool where drainage and water management are so important.

we also took a lot of care with the planting. every plant was installed exactly in the right location and finished with a fresh layer of mulch. when you’re standing back and looking at the finished landscape, it can seem effortless, but there’s a lot of thought and work behind that finished look. the right plants, spacing, grading, drainage, and hardscape all have to work together.

i’m especially proud of our crew on this one. large landscape construction projects take a lot of coordination, and everyone really came together to make sure the details were handled correctly. seeing the landscape design come to life the way we envisioned it is always one of my favorite parts of what we do.we love creating outdoor spaces that are beautiful but also practical and built to last. whether we’re working on a pool surround, a patio, a planting design, or a complete backyard transformation, our goal is always to create something that feels natural to the property and works for the way our clients actually live.
